New England Blacks in Philanthropy is on a mission to change the tides. It launched an initiative 11 years ago to build on donors in Boston. Its motto is “Giving Black starts with you.” The organization wants to make sure donors have appropriate information, focus and necessary tools to give, and will also inform them how their philanthropic gifts make a huge impact, even in the smallest ways. Bithiah Carter, president and CEO of New England Blacks in Philanthropy, discusses the organization’s mission and recent Giving Black report.
