This is a frontline fundraiser role managing a portfolio of 100+ donors and prospects with the capacity to give 100k+.

Under the supervision of the Director of Individual Giving develop an annual plan that balances a mix of campaigns and portfolio work. Care should be given to reflect a balance of renewable dollars and new dollars. The balance should be reflective of the experience of the gift officer and the make-up of the team as well as the make-up of the prospective donor pool. The more experienced the employee the higher the percentage of new dollars the employee will be responsible to secure.

This is a fully remote position with occasional in-person attendance required at events in the Greater Boston area.
Campaign Management is the basic technique combining volunteer management, data management and relationship mapping to draw out a clear achievable result within a given time frame. Specifically, this role will at least be responsible for coordinating Fenway Health’s major gift campaign, managing up and across the development team and coordinating with program and clinical staff to engage donors.

Manage multiple established campaigns spread across the calendar year. Develop plans for these campaigns with volunteers and development management.
These campaigns should show a balance of roughly 50% renew/ 50% new contributions.
Work with data management team to ensure campaign results tie to finance on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, depending on the size and scope of the campaign.
Work with Communication and volunteers to develop the unique messaging for the campaign.
Work with the director of individual giving to establish and regularly report on annual goals that reflect the action plan of the campaigns, and tie to the overall development goals. Goals are measured in dollars raised, total contributors, retention of donors and % of new dollars.
Portfolio / Individual giving

Relationship Mapping / Research

Research donors in the portfolio and develop a unique action plan for each
Develop and use relationship mapping to enhance the solicitation process
Donor Identification

With the approval of the Director of Individual Giving, discard donors from the portfolio who are unlikely to increase giving beyond events, and low annual gifts.
With the approval of the Director of Individual Giving, advance select donors for major gifts
Donor Cultivation

Meet with and work to curate a Fenway experience for the donor to maximize their affinity for our work and the mission
Donor solicitation and year end dollars raised

Solicit major donors from the portfolio and increase their giving
Work with the director of individual giving to establish annual goals that reflect the action plan of each member of the portfolio, and tie to the overall development goals. Goals are measured in dollars raised, total new contributors or members of the portfolio, retention of donors and % of new dollars.

Requirements
Associates degree (or higher) or equivalent (High School Diploma or GED plus 4 years work experience may substitute educational requirement)
3-5 years of experience in fundraising
Excellent customer service skills and ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in interactions with donors, prospects, volunteers, and others
Ability to coordinate and direct multiple priorities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to work occasional long hours based on departmental needs, including some evenings and weekends
